About the project

iov42 offers blockchain-based solutions to bring transparency and traceability to supply chains. Their “Commodity Chain” solution allows users to track assets, like timber, along every step of the chain, storing verified data on the blockchain to ensure authenticity and accountability.

FLUC was commissioned to produce a clean, accessible explainer video illustrating the concept: from asset origin, through transport and processing, to final delivery; helping stakeholders understand how iov42’s solution works and why it matters. We handled the full design and animation, simplifying a technical blockchain-based system into a clear, engaging narrative.

Our process

The challenge was to explain a complex technical concept: blockchain-powered asset tracking in supply chains, in a way that felt clear, trustworthy, and visually engaging. FLUC addressed this by designing clean, symbolic visuals for assets, chain links, and data flow, then animating transitions to show how information moves through the system and results in verified assets. This visual metaphor transformed abstract blockchain functionality into an intuitive, easy-to-follow story.

The project began with close collaboration with iov42 to define the key supply-chain steps and shape the narrative for the explainer. Clean icons and symbolic illustrations were then designed to represent tracking, verification, and movement across the chain.

These elements were animated using motion graphics that clearly demonstrated data flow from origin to verified asset. The story and pacing were carefully refined so each visual reinforced understanding of the system. The final result was a polished explainer video, ready for presentations and stakeholder outreach.
